Heading out of turn two, the No. 12 of Ryan Blaney had the lead over the No. 8 of Busch and No. 99 of Suárez. As the field advanced into turn three, Busch made a move to the middle lane, resulting in the drivers having to battle three-wide for the final half of the lap. After officials analyzed the photo finish, Suárez was announced the race winner, beating Blaney by just .003 seconds, and Busch by .007 seconds in what was the third-closest finish in NASCAR® history.
